This survey is closed. It was part of a pilot the Australian Public Service (APS) is undertaking to develop Long-Term Insights Briefings. These Briefings will examine specific policy challenges that may affect Australia and the Australian community in the medium and long term.
Long-Term Insights Briefings aim to strengthen policy development and planning in the APS by bringing together and helping the APS to understand the evidence and implications of long-term, strategic policy challenges. Importantly, they will be developed through a process of consultation with the Australian community on issues affecting them, as well as with experts from the public service, academia, industry and the not-for-profit sector.
What is the survey about?
The Long-Term Insights Briefing pilot will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) might affect the trustworthiness of public service delivery.
This survey was about trustworthiness and public service delivery.
Right now, most people think Australian public services are trustworthy and believe they will change to meet Australians’ needs in the future.
One way public services might change in the future is through the adoption of AI by the APS. As an example, in the future AI could change how information is accessed and used by the APS, and how it makes decisions about public services and their delivery.
