The Government has announced its intention to build a stronger Public Service. The Minister for the Public Service, Senator the Hon Katy Gallagher, will outline the Government's plan on 13 October 2022.
With much to be proud of already, the APS has a responsibility to develop the capability and ensure the integrity of the public service now and into the future.
Achieving enduring change and a stronger APS is something each of us is responsible for – in the way we do our jobs, engage with people, look for opportunities to do things better, learn from mistakes, and provide evidence-based advice that considers both the present and the future.
Being a public servant is a great privilege. We serve community and country to make a difference to people’s lives. The APS Reform agenda is a great opportunity to ensure we are well-placed to better support people and deliver results on the ground, where they matter most.
Updates on APS Reform progress will be shared regularly. We look forward to working together.
