- The Graduate APS Hackathon, I thought was really fun being able to meet different graduates across Canberra and see the different perspectives and opinions that people have. To me, that's a real strong suit of the APS, is how diverse not just the people are, but the types of work that people are doing.
Aaron, Department of Veterans’ Affairs
- We take a bunch of staff who are client-facing, so they do the claims processing, everything like that, and we actually bring them on base. And for instance, the other week we went to HMAS Kuttabul, where we had the wonderful privilege to go on the ship there as well. Don't call it a boat, it's a ship! So we went on the ship there, and we got the opportunity to walk through the ship, have a look at all the different bells and whistles, how they operate the ship, everything like that. But the staff can actually get a really good understanding of what these veterans actually have to go through.
