What is APS Reform?

The Australian Public Service plays an important part in shaping the future of Australia.
It serves our community every day.

APS Reform is our plan to build a stronger public service.

The Government has committed to a range of work that’ll help us be in the best position to support the people of Australia for years to come.

There are four priority areas that guide APS Reform. These are to create an APS that:

1. embodies integrity in everything it does
2. puts people and business at the centre of policy and services
3. is a model employer
4. has the capability to do its job well

Every staff member, in every agency has a role to play in strengthening the
public service.
