The Australian Government has released an initial Data and Digital Government Strategy (the Strategy) which sets the vision to 2030 for how the Australian Government intends to utilise data and digital to improve the entire spectrum of its services.
Investing in APS data and digital capabilities
The Strategy serves as a blueprint for the APS, setting a pathway for using data and digital technologies to improve our activities, including delivery of services. By aligning the Australian Public Service’s data and digital agenda with a clear vision, the Strategy will support more joined-up delivery across Government.
The Strategy will set the tone for an environment which fosters an enhanced culture of innovation and experimentation, enabling greater flexibility and responsiveness, resulting in better outcomes for people and business.
APS staff from a variety of agencies and job fields are encouraged to have their say. Information sessions will be held for APS staff across the country and staff are encouraged to attend the sessions to learn more about the Strategy and provide feedback to shape and transform how we work and deliver value and services.
APS staff will be able to have their say via a portal. You can complete a survey to share your thoughts or provide an individual submission. The portal will be open from 13 June 2023 to 25 July 2023.
